MOD Boxes

For excavation jobs that require shielding to protect workers, Apex provides a complete range of trench shields. Our trench shields are easy to install and transport, which makes your job easier.

  • Stacks flat and easily fits in a pick-up truck

  • Corner end posts enable shields to be arranged in 2- and 4-sides configurations

  • Panels measure 2′ high and can be stacked to suit a range of excavation depths

  • Panels are available in 4′, 6′, 8′, 10′, 12′ and 14′ lengths

  • Panels are foam-filled and light enough for hand assembly

Trench Crossing Units

Apex offers plates which are ideal to safely cross trenches that are wider than road plates can accommodate

  • Spans up to a 13.8 ft. space

  • Size is 14.8’ x 5.6’ Weight is 5,069 lbs.

  • Custom design and manufacture also available

  • Supports loads up to a 48,000 lbs axle load

Quick Bridge

When you need an off-the-shelf bridge for the fastest installation possible in short-span situations, the Quick Bridge is an ideal choice. Our proprietary steel bridge system is based on fixed span lengths that can be lifted directly from the delivery vehicle onto pre-prepared foundations. You can install this bridge in minutes to get traffic flowing again.

  • Available in 20’, 30’ and 40’ lengths that can be used in single or multi-span situations for bridges, ramps and platforms

  • Standard width of 5.65’ can be widened to suit your bridge needs by adding more units

  • Composed of structural steel designed to meet AASHTO HS25-44 load specifications

Road Plates

Apex offers steel road plates that give you the flexibility to move people and traffic safely over excavations.

You can choose from several sizes of road plates including:

  • 4’ x 8’ (weight: 1,330 lbs.)

  • 8’ x 10’ (weight: 3,325 lbs)

  • 8’ x 12’ (weight: 3,990 lbs.) 

  • 8’ x 20’ (weight: 6,650 lbs.)

 

Our steel road plates provide a number of advantages, including:

  • Eye holes for safe lifting and controlled placement

  • Optional, anti-skid surface

  • Constructed of high-quality, 1″ thick, A36 certified steel
